Update from my Fathers studio
I have mentioned my Dads work here before, but I was just visiting over the Thanksgiving holiday and thought I would share some fresh images from his studio. If you have not seen his portrait of his Father, do yourself a solid and go have a look. His current projects are a self portrait as Saint Sebastian, and a portrait of his wife (who is an accupuncturist) as an antique chinese medical figurine.

You can see the likeness in the image above and get a better sense of the overwhelming scale of these things.
At this stage the pieces still show much of the modeled surface of the clay in its rough state. As he closes in on their final forms much of this detail will be smoothed out.
