New works in progress

It occurred to me that I have not posted any progress photos in a while.  Here are some images of new work in various stages of completion.  Much of this work is in preparation for some upcoming shows in Southern California this summer.  As those shows approach I will post final images and video of the work.

These three are part of a recent interest in simpler pieces that don’t require electricity to enjoy.  I hope to keep producing them occasionally between larger projects.
Yet another look at the “Captain Nemo” theme.  This one has a bobbing motion, and the little propellor spins.  I’m still working out the light effects.
The violin-octopus (still needs a title) is finally finished.  The small red button starts the tentacles waving around for a pre-set duration, then it shuts itself off.  The other piece is a variation of a push toy.  The beasts head bobs, while the rider follows.
