The Big Idea
 
One of the things that I am happiest about the work produced so far at the San Francisco Dump is the absence of “robot” sculptures.  None the less, the collection just wouldn’t be me if there weren’t at least a few.  Here is the first.  Much thanks to Rich Humphrey for spending the better part of a day helping me get the cool “magic eye” vacuum tube to work in the critters head.  He has really opened my eyes to the possibilities of these near extinct little jewels of technology.  Expect them to show up in more pieces in the future.

This little guy must have a few miles of wire twisting through him!  The biggest challenge was cutting and splicing everything to the right length so that it would reach, but not tangle.
